Good morning and happy Wednesday!

Can you believe that it is already July and we’re half way through the year! It sure has been one challenging time for all of us but we must persevere and move onward as well as we can. I hope all of you are doing well in life and are dealing with these ever changing challenges everyday.

Today I want to show you one of our new slimline die and stamp and how I used them.

I cut my white base card 8” x 8 ½” and scored at 4” so you end up with a 4” x 8 ½” base.

I then cut my slimline die out of the yellow cardstock. Cut another piece of white cardstock 3 ¼” x 7 ¾”. This piece will be the piece that fits under the yellow slimline die. Put the yellow slimline cut on the white cardstock piece and pencil mark around 4 of the scallops on each of the openings.

Remove the yellow piece. Using your stamp, ink and position your stamp in between the pencil marks. With this stamp, I stamped it three times in different positions. Color the stamp with your choice of medium. I always like to make a little bling on my cards so I used the quicky glue pen and glamour dust to glitter up some of the birdhouses. I then cut a piece of 3 ½” x 8 ¼” dk brown cardstock and adhered it to my white base card. With the piece of cardstock that has the finished birdhouses adhere to the dk brown piece. Using Distress Oxide ink Wild Honey, I distressed around the edges of my yellow diecut.

I wanted my die to pop so I used 1/8” foam strips around the back of my yellow diecut piece and adhered it on top of the birdhouse stamped piece.

Embellished with a leaf punch and whala!!!! Finished.

Hope you liked this version of my card. You can find the products used on our website

Till next time, stay safe and healthy…
